Bf2serverlauncher download
GOTCHA 1 : If you use this technique to create custom configuration files, the map cycle is included with the server settings in one file. You will need to hand-edit the "con" file and place the map cycle in a separate file; otherwise, BF2 DS doesn't pick up your custom map cycle. Any other file name will not work! The default "con" maplist. Edit these directly if you don't wish to set command-line options.
Adjust the paths to suit your installation. Note the required parameters. The most important field on the tab is the Parameters. The Parameters defines the location of your "con" files. If you run the FireDaemon service as a specific user this command line can be shortened to:. Note that the slashes are the wrong way around in both instances, and remember to adjust the paths and configuration files to suit your installation.
Now click on the Settings tab. You can optionally run your Battlefield 2 server as the user you installed it as. In the Logon Account field type your username e. Administrator and then enter the user's password twice in the Password and Confirm fields.
Configuring and starting the Windows server using the server executable It is possible to start the server without using the Server Launcher GUI. The Map List The maplist tab allows you to select the maps and game modes you want to run on the server. See Appendix A for a list of all the map names and their supported modes and sizes. Maps may be removed from the maplist in the same fashion.
Installing the Linux Dedicated Server Copy the install archive onto your server PC and double click it to begin the installation. The correct syntax for this command is as follows: Maplist. Adding a map size to the map list is useful for running small maps with larger numbers of players, for example running a 32 player map with 64 players. Note that this is not supported for Ranked servers and made lead to your server being removed from the Ranked Server Providers list if you do so.
It is recommended you run the server in a terminal window to enable easier monitoring and control of the server. Should you wish to run multiple instances on one host, all of the instances must run on unique ports.
This records all of the gameplay for a particular round and makes it available for players in that round to download and view at a later date. There are two components to BattleRecorder, which are described below.
Every round played on the server will now be recorded to a file. The demo file must be in the directory specified in the URL, or the demo download will fail. In the majority of cases the default script may be used. This script can be rewritten or replaced as needed. You can also specify the number of files to keep archived. The default is Once the limit is reached, a new file will replace the oldest one. Note this path is case sensitive and must match exactly the folder name of your FTP upload site.
For a round with 64 players with tickets on each side, you should expect a file size of around Mb with the DemoQuality set to 1. They will then appear on the 'Community' page for you to play. This command lists those numbers, the map name, game mode and the number of players if specified.
Number of players is optional, if not specified will default to the current server setting. Bans the player from this server by using their IP address. Existing bans in banlist. This is the default if no time out is entered. Bans the player from this server by using their CD key hash.
See admin. The above bandwidth recommendations are upstream speeds. Note that Ranked servers cannot be password protected. Ranked servers must have this option checked. I tried several ways, of course the normal "edit-that-textfile", but also using the UI on the tool to create it. I tried it on my laptop today, making one profile called "hhdhdjd", and just changing the servername, and that launched, but when making "TLAN1" with the completely options plotted in there, it never starts the server, just like sometimes on this computer.
Though I do not get that Aphrodite error, it never loads the map up to start the server. So, it is basically all broken, I tried downloading it in two different locations, but neither seem to work. I know that earlier versions work though, and that there are a lot of server running, so maybe there is some alternate way to run a server, or maybe an older version can be converted to a newer patch? Works when it is unspecified, they should have made some real error messages.
The same address I did bind it to, Dumb system that wont allow me to know my IP. Sanity Free Coding Methods to the Madness. BF2ServerLauncher Well, this is the first time in history I ever encountered such a persistent problem, it simply will not be fixed in any rational way. Re: BF2ServerLauncher check your config file or setup in bf2serverlauncher. Can't find any reason to why it does this.
